Reid and Co. yesterday afternoon, it was decided to make a PUBLIC PRESENTATION to Mr TAPLEY to mark the Appreciation of his Valuable and Untiring Services to the City during the Four Years he has held the Position of Major. In order that the Presentation should be made as wide an appreciation of the services of Mr Tapley as possible, it was decided that the SMALLEST SUBSCRIPTIONS WOULD BE ACCEPTED, with a MAXIMUM OF ONE GUINEA, so that every member of the community may take part in a well-deserved honour.
