MILTON NOTES.
(Fbom Ode Own Cobbespondent.) MILTON, April 7. Mr G. H. Thomson has decided to stand for election to the South Otago Hospital Board. The other Milton candidate is Mr A. Rennie. Messrs James Gray and James Cnrrnthers (retiring councillors) will offer themselves for rc-clection to the Borough Council. Messrs J. R. Lynch (a former councillor) and A. W. Halton are likely candidates. RUGBY FOOTBALL. A meeting of the committee of the Toko Rugby Football Club was held last night, when various matters in connection with the forthcoming season were dealt with. It was decided to enter First, Second, and Third Grade teams for the South Otago Union’s competitions, it wa- also resolved to hold on opening practice game on Saturday afternoon, and to endeavour to arrange a match against Lawrence Club for April 23. CRICKET. Another cricket match has been arranged tor Saturday afternoon, when a team from Milton Club will journey to Milburn to play a match against the local club. Milton will be represented by K. Turnbull, K. Olvcr, Hood, Arnott, Murray, M.tDevanney, Heads, Marryatt, Monties, Cuff ami Wilkinson. A match between a Dunedin League loam and a team from the Milton ami Milburn Clubs will bo played at Milburu on Easter Monday.
