A TREATY OF AMITY
ITALO-HUNGARIAN PACT. FORMER ENEMIES RECONCILED. (Frees Association—By Telegraph —Copyright.) ROME, April 6. Signor Mussolini and Count Bethlen signed tho Italo-Hungarian treaty of friendship, conciliation, and arbitration.— A. and N.Z. Cable. A previous message stated that great 'political importance attaches to the visit of Count Bethlen (the Hungarian Prime Minister), to perfect agreements giving Hungary an outlet to the sea at Fiume, and also to conclude a treaty of friendship '’The latter “affords fresh evidence of the success of Signor Mussolini's policy in extending Italy’s influence in the Bal kans and Eastern Europe, gradually supplanting French predominance among tne Little Entente and former Austrian conn tries. Italo-Hungarian relations are now very cordial. They are also excellent with Greece. Rumania, Bulgaria-, Albania, and Poland.”
