STRUCK OFF ROLLS.

CASE AGAINST SOLICITOR. (Peb United Pbess Association.) WELLINGTON, March 17. The Court of Appeal to-day dealt with the cases of the Law Society v. Wilfred Ales. Black and John Munro Gillies. Mr Von Haast appeared for the Law Society and Mr Perry for Black. Gillies was not represented. The case of Black was adjourned until March 23, pending the arrival of affidavits from Auckland. The facts alleged in Gillies’s case were that he failed to keep his trust account in order, and received altogether the sum of over £SOO as trust moneys, which he converted to his own use. In one instance Gillies took over work for one Benn from Irwin and Irwin, and collected £176 8s lid, which Bonn instructed him to return to Irwin and Irwin. This was not done, though Gillies stated he had done so. Gillies was struck off the rolls of the Law Society, and ordered to pay £ls Iss costs.
