PRINCESS THEATRE.
HECTOR ST. CLAIR IN A NEW ROLE. Those who attend the Princess Theatre to-night will enjoy another excellent presentation by Hector St. Clair and his favourite Revue Company. The new revue is entitled 'Exit Laughing,” and is a brilliant concoction of frivolous nonsense with a sprinkling of drama here and there, good' song and dance numbers, and original novelty sketches. As usual. Hector himself is well in the fore throughout the production. This clever and versatile artist should in to-night’s performance demonstrate that he is one of the most talented comedians whom we have seen in revue. The fact that he never permits “Blue” methods to enter into his laughter makint is to a large extent responsible for his well earned popularity. An outstanding act that is creating much interest is that .of the “'Two Daleys,” a pair of very original entertainers. Tneir singing is quite good and their topicalities are very clear and entertaining. An Australian critic, referring to the “Bronsons>” said: “I like their act immensely. It is most attractive, bright, and snappy, and is easily the best-dressed turn I have seen in vaudeville.” Audiences throughout New Zealand agree with this critic’s opinion. Tonight the ’‘Bronson’s” offering will include their famous original novelty, “My Miss New Zealand Girl.” Frank. Rodgers, the coloured ventriloquist, who is at present on special engagement from America, is remarkably clever in his work. “The Man of Many Voices” very aptly describes this artist, who presents a unique and novel turn that should not be confused with the work of the ordinary ventriloquist. To sum up. to-night’s bill is a very high-class one, and that everyone in the audience will “Exit Laughing” should be a foregone conclusion.
