SALE OF BLOODSTOCK.

HELD AT WELLINGTON. (From Our Special Reporter.) WELLINGTON. January 21. The inaugural sale of bloodstock which will, no doubt, become established as a Dominion fixture in connection with the Wellington Cup meeting, was held at Trenlham to-day, and commanded an attendance of about 500. Hie sale was held in the birdcage, and attracted some of the principal breeders and owners in New Zealand, and abo a number from Australia. The stock, which was sold by Messrs Pyne, Gould, and Guinness in conjunction with Messrs W. Inglis and Co., of Sydney, came under the hammer wielded by Mr W. Inglis, who created a very favourable impression. Those offered by Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co., in conjunction with Messrs H. Chisholm and Co., were sold by Mr K. Austin. The sale opened at 10.30 and was continued until after 6 p.m., but after the yearlings had been sold the majority of the attendance left, and no sale of importance took place after 5 p.m. The following is a list of the principal On account of Mr W.
