BURGLARIES IN CHRISTCHURCH.
HOUSEBREAKING EPIDEMIC,
(Special to Daili Times.)
CHRISTCHURCH, January 21. Housebreaking has been prevalent in the suburbs lately, and about half a dozen residences have been ransacked during the past week. Jewellery and small sums of money have been taken. The absence of householders on holiday has provided the thieves with ample opportunities. The offences are believed to have been the work of boys.
