COMBINED BAND CONCERT.

At the Botanic Gardens to-morrow the band rotunda will be occupied in the afternoon by the Kaikorai Band, and m the evening by the Kaikorai and Tramways Bands. The programme to be rendered m the afternoon is of a high order, comprising march “On the Quarter Deck ; hymn, “Fierce Raged the Tempest’ ; contest selection. “Gounod”; euphonium solo. “Asleep in the Deep," by Bandsman M. Clarke; waltz, “Ecstacy”; xylophone solo. Bandsman E. Andrews; Ad the popular “Musical Switch.” In the evening the protrramme will contain some excellent items, when both band* will play their respective test pieces the Kaikorai s being Lortzing.” Other items of an attractive character will be rendered. A collection will be taken on both occasions in aid of the contest fund.
