MAORI GIRL’S THEFTS.

COMMITTED FOE SENTENCE. (Special to Dails Times.) CHRISTCHURCH, December 25. A Maori girl named Margaret Tini, of Little River, in the Magistrate’s Court today admitted breaking and entering the dwelling of Cyril Gray, at Raituna, and stealing goods of a total value of £49 18s 6d. The goods consisted mainly of clothing, in addition to two sovereigns and a lawn tennis racquet. When arrested she admitted breaking into the house during the absence of the occupants, and said she was taking the clothing to a Maori gathering. The girl was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. Bail was fixed at £25, and one surety of £25.
