BURGLARS IN CHRISTCHURCH.

UNPROFITABLE OPERATIONS. (Special to Uailx Times.) CHRIS'!CHURCH. December 10. The burglars who have been prowling round Christchurch for the past fortnight have been singularly unsuccessful. Their efforts with the jemmy and key have not returned them much except a flattering amount of attention by the police. Attempts have been made to break into several business premises, but nothing was obtained. In other cases the thieves were more fortunate, and goods and movy were stolen. Many private houses have also received attention from the burglars. The police think that they have traced the offenders, who will appear before the court to answer the charges preferred against them
