N G Bro. D. B. Lockhart presided over a good attendance at the meeting of Loyal Milton Lodge. Seven new members were initiated, and several more proposed. A visit to Loyal Tuapeka Pioneer was arranged and one to Mosgiel and Kaitangata nho. A donation was mace to the local brass band in recognition of assistance gl Loyal Princess Mary Lodge mot at Forbury Corner Hall, Sister Riddell presiding over a good attendance. Arrangements were concluded for a visit to Loyal Prince of Wales, Port Chalmers, at an early date, and tor a basket social next lodge night The nomination of new officers was well responded to, there being promise of keen competition. After lodge business harmony was indulged in, Bro, Arnold presiding at the piano and contnbuting solos acceptably P.P.G. Bro. Briggs (cornet solo) Sisters Riddell and Robertson (songs), and Bros. Arnold. Gilland, Peterson, and Maher {musical quartet) contubuteci the 15 The*"'meetings of Loyal Roxburgh Lodge have been well attended and more than usually interesting. Discussions on matters affecting the lodge and order have served to occupy the attention of ’ bers. A welcome visitor, P.G. Bio. M Kcnzie, of Loyal Caversham dehveredl a short address on the work of the order, and complimented the local lodge on its success. Emerson presided. The membership campaign was still being \ oiisly ..o vied on, and five were initiated ami two proposed. Delegates from the !ma Eriendlv Societies’ Council were received and welcomed. They laid a large amount of business before the lodge, which vv as favourably’ received. Icr fecc. Bro. Johnston -uve a further report on the hospital scheme, which was again 1 W Bro G W Allen was presented with his emblematical certificate his services to the lodge while in the chair having been of the Juvenile Lodge of Port Chalmers always spend an interestin or evening when they meet, and the last occasion, which was well attended, proved enjoyable and interesting Great interest was taken in the election of new officers, several positions being keenly-con-tested. A presentation of prizes presented by 1 er. Sec Bro. Johnston to the members securing the most new entrants was made to E. Sec. Bro. Clifford and Bro. S. Williamson. the winners being warmly thanked for their efforts.
