OFFER OF FREE ERECTION, COUNCIL OPPOSED TO ADVERTISING, (Special to Daily Times.) AUCKLAND, December 8. The proposal for the erection of flashing roadside lighthouses was considered by the council of the Auckland Automobile Asso elation to-night. The Secretary -aid the company had offered to erect signal lighthouses free of cost, provided advertisements could be in corporated. The lights would be visible for two miles It was resolved to advise the North Island Motor Union that the council was opposed to indiscriminate advertising.
