SUPREME COURT.

. Wednesday, December 8. (Before His Honor Mr Justice Sim.) PETITIONS IN DIVORCE. In the Supreme Court yesterday morning his Honor Mr Justice Sim made orders in respect to three petitions to have divorce decrees made absolute. In the case of James Lang (petitioner) v. Rachel Lang (respondent) Mr W. G. Hay, who appeared in support of the motion, said petitioner was also asking for the custody of the younger of the two children, who were in Scotland. His Honor asked whether the children, being in Scotland, were under the jurisdiction of the court. Mr Hay: Tho order as asked for is by the consent of both parties. His Honor made the order as asked for. In the case of Giver Clive Clarence Chapman (petitioner) v. Vida Armstrong Chapman (respondent), Mr J. S. Sinclair appeared for petitioner and Mr C. J. Payne for respondent. His Honor (to Mr Sinclair): You obtained a decree nisi, but did not apply to have it made absolute. Mr Sinclair: That is so. Mr Payne said there was an application for permanent alimony. A deed of separation provided for a payment of 25s a week, but the husband had failed to pay that. An order was made against him for an amount of about £64, and under a judgment summons be had to pay 30s a week. It was now suggested that he should pay 30s a week until tho arrears were wiped off. and then 25s a week. M'Phee (respondent). Mr W. G. Hay appeared in support of the motion, which included an order for the custody of two children. His Honor granted the order.
