A STEAMER DELAYED.

MEMBERS OF CREW ASHORE (Special to Bails Times.) AUCKLAND, December 8. After being delayed in port for nearly 24 hours owing to a shortage of the Union Company’s Collier Kaikorai Bailed for Westport shortly before 2 o clock this afternoon. The Kaikorai was scheduled to sail at 4 p.m. yesterday, but at that hour five members of the crew were still on shore. , As there was no sign of the men, several of whom bad landed at Nortbcote when returning to their ship at Ghcisea, the steamer left the wharf and went to an anchorage in the stream. One of the missing men was placed on board last evening but it was not until after midday to-dav that the remaining four were found and taken to their ship by launch.
