Conciliation Council proceedings in connection with an application for a new Domnion award for the freezing industry will be opened in Wellington on Monday. It is possible that the Arbitration Court will deal with the case about a week later, and the new award is expected to be issued before Christinas. LONGBURN WORKS. UNION BUTCHERS EMPLOYED. (Per United Pbess Association.) PALMERSTON N., December 7. The Longburn Freezing Works this morning employed union butchers for the first time since the strike, 16 supplementing volunteer slaughtermen. Thirty in all are are operating to-day the full capacity being 38.
