CARELESS MOTORIST.

HEAVY FINE IMPOSED. (Per United Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, December 4. The proper course is to take these drivers off the road, but I realise in this instance that it would deprive a man of his livelihood, said Mr R. W. Tate, S.M., at the Police Court, when imposing a fine of £2O and costs (£5), on Oswald Norman Thomas for driving a car at a speed dangerous to the public. The pi'osecution was the result ot a collision near Eltham. Thomas s car when passing a line of traffic swerved across the road, struck a pole, and overturned. The overturned car was then struck by another car.
