(Received Dec. 5, at 5.5 p.m.} Following the decision of the Imperial Conference regarding the desirability of encouraging Empire films, the Government is drafting a Bill to prevent “Wind” and “block” booking and providing for a compulsory quota beginning with 5 per cent. The operation of the quota, however, ■ will be postponed for a year from the date of the legislation to enable the producer to meet the demand.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
