MR DE VALERA
MYSTERIOUS VISIT TO LONDON. SHADOWED BY SCOTLAND YARD. (Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, December 4. (Reeeoived Dec. 4, at 5.5 p.m.) The Daily Express states that Mr de Valera has just paid a mysterious visit of two days to London. He travel!-1 under the assumed name of “Mr P. Little,” but was shadowed ’by Scotland Yard men from the moment he landed till he left for Glasgow. It is understood that while in London Mr de Valera had a conversation with Communists. Speaking at Glasgow last night he said: “We are out to establish a sovereign Republic. It is only then that we will secure real independence.”—A. and N.Z. Cable.
