BOWLING.
The Hampden Bowling Club opened its season yesterday in beautifully fine weather. Visiting bowlers were present from Oamaru, Palmerston, and elsewhere, and as the green was in good playing order, a most enjoyable afternoon was spent. The visitors were, as usual, most hospitably entertained by the Hampden Club.
