LAWN TENNIS.
The Moeraki LtMvn Tennis Club opened its new courts on Wednesday afternoon under ideal weather conditions. The Mayor of Hampden (Mr Nicolson). in a happy speech, declared the courts open. There was a large attendance of friends and visitors from as far north as Oamaru. and the ladies of the club dispensed afternoon tea. On Labour Day the first sod was turned, and on Saturday. November 13, the nets were stretched across and the courts were, ready fur play, . all the work having been done by voluntary labour.
