DIFFICULT TO PROCURE. DOMINION SALARIES INADEQUATE. (Special to Daily Times.) AUCKLAND, November 18. Since Llic now scale of salaries came into force at Homo appointments in the overseas dominions have not been so popular, and the Seddon Technical Memorial College was unable to get a man as art instructor for £SOO a year, though it, advertised in New Zealand. The scale of salary for a woman would bo four-fifths that of the salary for a man. Some of the members wanted to know why a New Zealander could not be found for the post, but the director said no one suitable had applied. It, was decided to replv that the board would be willing to consider a suitable woman for the post if she could be obtained.
