AN EXTENSIVE HAUL. FOUR SUSPECT’S ARRESTED. (Peb United Pbess Association , AUCKLAND, September 26. Early on the nipht of Tuesday, September U. a particularly darinp burplary occurred when a raid was made on the premises of Mr W. W. Platt, a currier, of 25 Wellesley street.’ furs of a total value of £l5O hemp; stolen. The front door of the shop had been forced onen, and this was discovered by a constable when on his rounds late in the eveninc. A careful selection of fox and other furs of the latest shades and styles was made hy the cracksmen. Ever since the local detectives havQ been actively entraced in prosecuting inquiries with the utmost ricour. and yesterday morninp Detectives Moon, Barlinp and M'Whirter found a considerable quantity of furs in a room occupied by three men. The three men were taken into custody, and in the afternoon another man was arrested in a city hotel. It is hoped that as a result of deiaininp the quartet the whole matter will bp cleared up.
