plant. Calcraft told him of his work and wages at Home, and said that he had had a rough time. Witness kept him on so that ho might help him while he secured a bolter position. It was on witness s own volition that he kept Calcraft on. Witness told Dr Thacker of the man s lack of ability for the job. After reviewing the case briefly, the Magistrate said plaintiff and his witnesses were not shaken in cross-examination, and he did not find the evidence of defendant satisfactorv. It could not he relied upon. The full amount of the claim, however, could not he allowed. Judgment was given for the plaintiff for £(>l and costs.
