FORESTERS.

BAZAAR AT GREEN ISLAND. A successful bazaar was hsld at Greoa Island last night by the Pride of Green Island A.O.F. rn an endeavour to raise funds for the erection of a hall. Tho bazaar was opened by the Mayor (Mr W. T. Smellis). The various stalls were tastefuly decorated and well stocked, and a large crowd of purchasers soon had them emptied. Baking competitions were held and the following won prizes:—Scones Mrs Munro; pikelets. Mrs T. Hill; shortbread, Mrs G. Orange; sponge sandwich. Miss Green; light fruit cake, Mrs Moffett; chocolate, Mrs R. Gould; toffee, Mrs Psnson; collection of sweets, Mies M'Ahan. The various stalls wore attended by tho following: Produce Stall.—Mrs D. Benfell and Mrs Arthur Sickells.

Cake Stall.—Mrs Tapp, Mrs E. Green, and Miss Tapp. Work Stall.—Mrs Strang and Mrs M'Ahan. Fancy Stall.—Mrs Richmond, Mrs Parson, Miss M. M'lnnes. Sweets Stall.—Mr H. Richmond and E. J. Freeman, Handkerchief Stall.—Messrs Orange, Hill, and Barnes. Jumble Stall. —Mr W. Miller and W. Barnes. Ice Cream and Soft Drinks.—J. Tapp and A. Hill. Dips.—J. Fenson. Sideshows. —Messrs G. Orange, E. Ensor, J. Barnes, W. Hollows, and A. Russell. Tearoom.—Mrs G. Orange, Mrs Murtagh, and Mrs E. Ensor. Mr .1. M'Lean (baker) judged the baking, and Mr Jones, of Hudson and Co., judged the sweets. Music was supplied by Begg’s orchestra. The bazaar will be continued to-night and to-morrow night.
