BALLARAT “THOUSAND” ABANDONED. (Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright.) MELBOURNE. September 22. (Received Sept. 22, at 9 p.m.) Owing to the paucity of entries the Victorian Band Association has decided to abandon the Ballarat £IOOO championship contest which, was to have been held next month.
