DUNEDIN COMPETITIONS.

The Dunedin Competitions Society s twenty-fifth annual festival will be commenced on Tuesday next, when the competitions will b e held in His Majesty s Theatre, Victoria Hall, and Burns Hall. Excellent entries have been received for this year’s festival, and very interesting programmes have been arranged for each session. It is pleasing to note that excellent entries have been received for the various choir contests, and no doubt these will prove a great attraction. It is some years now since impromntu speeches have been held in connection with the competitions, but this year" six competitors have entered. The box plan is now open at the Bristol.
