SILVER JUBILEE.
ROSLYN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH. The history of the Roslyn Presbyterian Church dates back to March, 1901, when the question ot creating the Roslyn district into a church extension charge came before the Presbvtery. To commemorate suitably the silver jubilee of the establishment ,-f the church a series of services and functions has been held this week, having commenced on Sunday last. Yesterday afternoon the junior members of the Sunday school were entertained at tea, and later the senior scholars were given possession of the Sunday school building for a similar function. Subsequently they engaged in games, and a concert progr nme, for which the children themselves were responsible, filled in the remainder of the time. A Scottish item contributed by Mr Penman was very much appreciated. Moving pictures wore also sh >wn. At one stare of the proceedings a three-tier cake, beautifully iced and decorated, which had been presented by one of the lady members of the congregation, was cut by two of the scholars, each child receiving a slice.
