OF NEW IN THE MATTER of a Local Bill shortly intituled “ The Otago Harbour Board Empowering Act 1920.” NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that is intended to be made to the General Assembly of New Zealand at the forthcoming Session thereof on behalf of the Otago Harbour Board for leave to introduce a Bill intituled “An Act to Vest Further Powers in the Otago Harbour Board ” and that the objects which such Bill is intended to effect are to authorise the said Board: 1. To borrow £350,000 in addition to loans already authorised for the general improvement of Otago Harbour. 2. To give security over the Harbour Fund excepting moneys appropriated to any special purpose. 3. To cancel debentures and issue fresh debentures in substitution therefor. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER, GIVEN that a Copy of the said Bill together with a Statement of the Financial Position of the Board an Estimate of th* cost of construction of the proposed works and the estimated increased revenue to be derived from the proposed works and plans thereof has been deposited in the Magistrate’s Court at Dunedin and remains there open to public inspection.
