MOTOR BUS COLLISION. MAN BADLY CRUSHED. (Pee United Pbess Association.) AUCKLAND, May 29. Frederick Charles Cleal, aged 60, was badly crushed in a collision betiveen three motor buses at Devonport. He was removed to hospital, and his condition is critical. He is a married man with four children. TWO CARS COLLIDE. OCCUPANTS ESCAPE SERIOUS INJURY. (Pee United Press Association.? . FOXTON, May 29. A collision between two motor cars occupied by Dr Wyllie and Mr R. Bryant, both of Foxton, occurred at the intersection of two roads at Himatangi last evening. Both cars were overturned and, the occupants pinned beneath, but fortunately neither was seriously hurt. Bryant suffered from slight concussion and cuts about the head. Wyilie escaped with little injury. Both ears were badly smashed.

FOOTBALL ACCIDENTS. Ronald Wildgoose, aged 26 years, was admitted to the hospital at 3 p.m. on Saturday, suffering from injuries to the head received whilst playing in the football match Zingari-Riohmond v. University B at CayisbrooU. A kick on the head whilst playing for Pirates football team on Saturday resulted in Frederick de Malmanche, aged 25 years, who resides at 37 Grove street, Musselburgh, being admitted to the Hospital about 5 o’clock in U • afternoon. RAILWAY FATALITY. DEATH OF JOHN BARNES. An inquest into the circumstances of the death of John Thomas Barnes, aged 51, who died on Friday evening through injuries received under the railway overhead bridge at the back of the Early Settlers’ Hall, was held at the Hospital on Saturday morning, Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M., sitting ns coroner. Henry George Anderson Barnes, a son of the deceased, gave evidence of identification. He said that the deceased had been troubled a little with hi» heart, but had not received medical attention. Dr Henry Walden Fitzgerald, house surgeon, said that the deceased -was admitted to the Hospital at 7.10 p.m. He was suffering from severe shock and a lacerated scalp wound. His left arm was practically pulped, and there were other injuries He rallied for a wV.'e, but died at 10.53 p.m. The cause of death was shock following injuries.
