DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. All banking shares are firm on the .Dunedin Stock Exchange at present. Bank of Now Zealancls are the outstanding stock. At the end of last week they were wanted at 60s Ocl, but yesterday numerous transactions were effected at tils. On ’Change there were live sales at that price and six sales were reported. A steady inquiry has been made tor Bank of New South Wales at £45, and a sale was effected during the week at £45 6s. Commercials are wanted at 80s 9d, sellers asking 31s 3d. The inquiry for 'National Bank of New Zealancls has improved lo £0 Ills, but there are no immediate sellers. National of Australasias are ex dividend The ordinary issue are wanted at £l7 10s, and £8 15s is offered for contributing shares. Transactions in New Zealand Breweries at 69a 3d have been reported. At present 59s is offering, sellers asking 59s Gd. Buyers of debentures have offered 2(is 4d. National Insurances are in demand at 1 7s 6<l, sellers asking 80s. The - quotations for New Zealands are 39s 6d (buyer) arid 40s (seller). The inquiry for South British has improved to 56s 9d, and 53s 3d is offering for Standards. P and 0. Deterred Stock is in much bettor demand, and as much as £440 has been offered. Yesterday’s quotations were £235 (buyer) and £250 (seller). Coal and Oils are wanted at Is, at which price a sale has been reported. Weatports were ex dividend yesterday-, buyers offering 37s 3d. On Thursday a buyer quoted at 38s. Inquiry is being made tor V eslport-Stock-tons ords at Is 4d and for prefs. at 2s 6d, "Now Zealand Rcfngeratings (paid) are in .slightly better demand, yesterday s offer being 17s Gd. Sellers asked only 3d more. D I.C. ords. are wanted at 7s premium. Sales of the £2 paid issue of New Zealand Drugs haye been reported at 68s 6d. A steady inquiry is made at 68s. The new paid-up issue is in demand at 61s. „ ew Zealand Paper Mills are ex dividend, sellers asking 21s. . Some business has been done in Kawaraus at 7s 6d and 7s 7d. The latter price is offering at present, but sellers will not take less than 7s XOd. Nokomais have made another increase in value, and buyers are now offering 8s lOd.
