Members of Parliament, while always at pains to please their constituents, do not always receive expressions of thanks for their services (remarks the Evening Post). Uo-election to Parliament is, of ourse. a very desirable form of testimonial, but it is pleasant, no doubt, to receive written congratulations on the success which has attended one’s efforts. Sir John fiiil'e has received a memorial signed by 35 people, voicing their appreciation of his readiness to help them i obtaining he telephone box erected at the corner of Tinakori road and Poplar Grove. The document adds: “It is also an object of genera! admiration in it« picturesque harmony with its architectural surroundings.”
