EGYPTIAN MURDERS
ONE DEATH SENTENCE PASSED. REMAINING ACCUSED ACQUITTED. (Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright.) CAIRO, May 25. At the murder-conspiracy trial all the accused were acquitted except Fahmy, who was sentenced to death. The crowded court received the acquittals with joy. The relatives and friends, cheering wildly, shook hands and embraced the prisoners over the spiked railings.—Sydney Sun Cable. This marks the end of the trial of seven men who were accused of complicity in the 10 murders of Europeans, culminating in the assassination of Sir Lee Stack.
