WORK OF AN ASSASSIN
RUSSIAN GENERAL SHOT DEAD

The Russian general Petlura, editor of the Russian newspaper Trident, who commanded the Ukrainians in war time, was shot dead on the Boulevard St. Michel by a Russian workman, who fired six shots, five of which were effective. The assassin was arrested. —Sydney Sun Cable.
