CALEDONIAN CLUB. The rinsing down ceremony in connection with the Caledonian Bowling Club took plneo on Saturday afternoon tinder the most favourable conditions. In the course of a brief snoecii Mr J. if F. Hamel (president) extended a cordial welcome to all. and expressed particular pleasure at the presence of a considerable number of Indies. He congratulated members on the progress made during the season, which had been most successful in i-very way. Appreciative reference to the valuable assistance rendered by the ladies in attending to the refreshments during the pence., wo3 made by Mr Hamel, who said that the we-'• in this department contributed very largelv to the success of the club's operations. Each of tho ladies who assisted was presented with a lovely box of chocolates, the president ' '-irly irking Mia, the president of the Exhibition Company had expressed a desire that “Chocolate Alley” should he kept .roing a little longer. A liberal suppy of refreshments and a programme of music by the Highland Pipe Band, which imparted n true Caledonian air to the proceedings, were much enjoyed by all present.
