ROSE FUND REACHES £2050. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 6. The Rose Fund has readied £2050, with a little more to come to hand About two-thirds of (he amount, was collected in Wellington and Wairarapa. The Amateur Athletic Association considers the result very satisfactory. In view of the strain on its finances, the council decided it could not send more than three men to the championship mealing in Brisbane in August. A committee was appointed to select three and nominate others, who may be sent if sufficient money is forthcoming.
