Owing to the tremendous crowds that have been assembling at the Octagon to take snapshots of Thomsons’ ponies and photographers bein'? obstructed, the ponies will stand at Thomsons’ front office from 10.45 to 11 o’clock on Saturday mornings in addition to standing at the Octagon from 11.15 to 12.30. Arangements to take special photos may alsobe made by ringing up or calling at Thomsons’ office. A team of ten ponies will now be harnessed up, the two new members being King Cole and Jack the Giant Killer.

With a few minor exceptions commission on the capital of estates when realised is now charged according to the following scale: — On the first £SOOO. 2J per cent. On the next £SOOO, U per cent. On the next £15.000. 1 per cent. On excess of £25,000, J per cent. When assets are transferred in kind the charges are: — On the first £SOOO, U Per rent. On the next £SOOO, | per cent. On all in excess of £IO,OOO, \ per cent. The commission charged on rent or on interest on mortgages has been reduced from 5 per cent, to 2J per cent, on amounts in excess of £SOO per annum. . The Public Trustee has power to reduce the charge when such a course is warranted, and reductions are readily made in suitable cases. Full particulars of the charges made for the administration of estates will be supplied on application to the Public Trustee, Wellington, or at any Branch of the Public Trust Office.
