TOWARDS THE SPORTS GROUND.

BIG EVENING CROWDS. A MID-WEEK SUCCESS RECORD. Yesterday the Exhibition offered the last big special attraction of the long season. Perfect -weather drew big crowds in the evening, and thousands assembled on the Sports Ground where the Fireworks Display proved a success second only to New Year’s Eve. Again Logan Park as a whole was warmly supported by the visiting throngs and the day was another step in the ladder of success. The band of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders played in the Grand Court during the afternoon, and in the Festival Hall in the evening. The Amusements Park continued an irresistable attraction until the evening when the Sport Ground was the destination of all but the most eager chocolate hunters. The attendance total for the day was 27,417, making the grand total 2,'685,332. There are now 15 Exhibition days left, in which to reach the three million mark. An average of 20,978 per day is required.
