The monthly meeting oi the Cnvershnm School Committee was held in the head master’s office on Monday evening, six members, together with the secretary, being present. The head master reported that the roll stood at 633, and the attendance for Ihe first quarter had averaged 606. The bank deposits to date totalled £SO 12s 7d, and the committee expressed their appreciation in the interest being taken in this branch. The application for sticks to mark out the various playing areas ip the new ground was granted, as was also the request for a further lot of hockey sticks. The chairman (Air R. 11. Todd) reported that the meeting of ex-scholars called to discuss fho celebration of the 65th anniversary of the school had been a most encouraging one. Quite a number of donations had been handed in, and the date was fixed for September. A general committee and a roll committee had been set up, and everything pointed towards a most successful function. Already inquiries and messages had been received fjom the other centres; and strong committees would b« appointed in each place to give the needed publicity.
