OTAGO EARLY SETTLERS’ ASSOCIATION.

The monthly meeting of the committee of the Otago Early Settlers’ Association was held yesterday, the president (Mr W. Nicolson) in the chair. The following gifts were received, and votes of thanks passed to the donors; — From Geo. M'Donald (Middlemarch), set of drought horseshoes made by himself and exhibited Taieri Show, 1882, winning first prize, also, on deposit, silver medal for same; J. M. MTptosh (Lawrence), photo of himself, City of Dunedin, 1863; Frank Templeton (Dunedin), diary Pladda, 1861, written by his grandfather, T. J. Young; from Miss M. L. Ferguson, Bible which belonged to her uncle, late Captain P. Logan, Robert Henderson, 1858; Edmund Anscombe (Dunedin), framed photo panorama New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition buildings, 1925-1926; Jno. Flett (Allanton), framed portraits of his late parents, Mr and Mrs Geo. Flett, Taieri, Srathfieldsaye. 1858; Miss Atkinson (Wellington), framed portrait of her late parents, Mr and Mrs E. B. Atkinson (Oamaru), Mr Atkinson— John Wickliffe, 1848, Mrs Atkinson (nee Harland) —Maori, 1853; R. N. Gordon, framed picutre Lake Taupo; J. Hudson (Dunedin), copy Ladies’ Journal Album, 1858; Mrs W. Curie when a member of the old Port Chahnei’s Volunteers; J. Currie Elies (Sydney), framed painting of old First Church Manse in Princes street South, also parallel ruler used by his late father.
