Both vessels will be open for public inspection today and also on Sunday next from 1 p-m. to 5 p.m. . , The officers ■will be admitted free to the Exhibition, and the same privilege is extended to men in uniform. Members of the crews will be snowed to travel free of charge on the corporation electric and cable cars, but not on the bU, nio manager of the Princess Theatre has granted free admission to the vaudeville entertainment to a party from either ship not exceeding 40 in number ca.cn even--IBfhe proprietors of the picture thsatroe have granted free admission to men in uniform at afternoon performances only. Parties of school children to riav the two ships have been arranged for to-day from 9.45 a.m. to 11 a.m. and riom l.ad n m. to 5 p.m. to-morrow. Parties must be limited to 150 at one time for osch ship. VISIT TO R.S.A. The Dunedin Returned Soldiers’ Club ■was visited yesterday morning by C ommodore Beal, accompanied by Captain Bitcrne end Paymaster Lieutenant Raymond H. Pink. The party was met by the president (Mr P. S. Anderson), who expressed the pleasure of the association .at ine honour conferred by the naval guests. The party then inspected the chib rooms. Ihe c facilities were generally praised by the visitors who extended congratulations to the returned soldiers of Dunedin, who. they hoped, would continue to supper, the association. THE WEEK’S PROGRAMME. The official programme for the remainder of the stay in Dunedin is appended, jt is to be noted that there will be a route march through the city streets this morning. headed by the bands of both vessels-To-morrow evening there will be a seaichlight display from 3.30 to 9 o clock. TUESDAY, APRIL 13. 930 a.m. —The ships’ companies, with the bands of both vessels, will take part in a route march through the city. -Lie route is from the wharf, up Rattray street along Cumberland street, up Frederick street, past the Hospital, and back along King street, thence up Hanover street into George street, and along George street and Princes street to the Oval At the Oval company drill will be carried out, and the parade will leave there at 11.20, returning to the ships via Princes street and Rattray street. About 250 men will take part in the tnaich. Hoon. —Civic reception to Commodore Beal and Captain J. S. M.Ritchie and officers of the ships at the Town Hall. 8.30 p.m—.Navy League dance for officers at the Savoy. WEDNESDAY, APRIL 14. 9 30 am— Officers and warrant officers visit Waipori Falls. Motor cars will leave the ships at 9.30 a.m.. returning from Waipori about 5.30 p.m. 8.30 pm. to 9 pm. —Searchlight displays by both ships. THURSDAY, APRIL 15. 8 p.m.—Smoke concert tendered to the officers by the Otago Officers’ Club. 8 p.m. —Dance for petty officers at the Early Settlers’ Hall. FRIDAY, APRIL 16. 1 p m.—Luncheon to the officers tendered by the Slayer and CJy Council at 9 p.m.—-Officers’ dance on board ships. SATURDAY, APRIL 17. Association football match between a team fro mboth ships and a Dunedin Evening.—Dance aboard both ships for friends or crews. SUNDAY. APRIL 18. Motor trip to the country for 60 men to be arranged by the Otago Motor is understood that there may he i church parade on Sunday morning. the new commodore. CAPTAIN SWABET DUE IN AUGUST. Swabey, the new commodore of the New Zealand station, is due to arrive in New Zealand to relieve Commodore Beal on August 25. A. and JN.Z. Cable. Captain George Thomas Carlisle Parker Swabev, who is 46 years of age, entered the Navy ‘in 1894, and attained his present rank in 1918. During the Dardanelles campaign he acted as naval obesrvation officer, gaining the D.S.O. decoration and the Legion of Honour, besides being mentioned in despatches.
