HOCKEY.
TECHNICAL COLLEGE OLD BOYS’ CLUB. The seventh annual meeting of the Technical Old Boys’ Hockey Club was held in the College on Friday. Mr A. A. Marshall (president) presided over a good attendance of members. In moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet Mr A. Marshall congratulated the club on the success of the past season. The financial position showed a considerable improvement, the balance in hand having risen to £2 0s 111. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mr AV. G. Aldridge; vicepresidents—Messrs A. Marshall, R. Gardner, A. E. Selby, AV. Alexander, J. Harris, .1. Hogg, C Lockhart. A. M'Fndgeu, and AV Dray; secretary and treasurer, Mr A. Hinton; club captain, Mr C. Sew Hoy; deputy club captain. Mr A. Dray; committee— Messrs AV. M’Queen, I/. Joseph, E. Jory, and AV. Liddicoat; auditor, Mr J. Boardman: delegates to O.H.A. —Messrs A. Hinton, AA . M’Queen, and L Joseph; Selection Committee—Messrs A. Hinton, C. Sew Hoy, and E. -Tory. , , A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr J. Harris, who had been transferred to Oamaru, for his services to the club during his term as secretary. Mr Hinton referred (o the excellent services rendered by the retiring president (Air A. Marshall). Mr Marshall had been president of the club since its inception, and was always willing to render assistance. The club was fortunate in having such a man as president, and regretted that ilia retirement from the college necessitated his giving up office. It was resolved that an invitation bo extended to the Christchurch Technical College Old Boys to play a match at Easter for the Manley Memorial Shield, The opening practice was fixed for March 20.
