DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. A feature of the Dunedin Stock Exchange during the past week has been a considerablj improvement in Dominion Rubbers. Whereas 53a 3d was offered a week ago, buyois will now give 56s 6d. A sale was reported yesterday at 575. Sales have been effected during the week at 65s 6d and 56s 6d. Malays, too, are better, but the offer of 43s made yesterday failed to attract a seller. Bank of New Zeaiands are still turner with inquiry at 59s 3d, sellers asking only threepence more. There was a small turnover during the v eek at 50s Nationals are a little weaker, the closing quotations being £6 14s (buyer) and £6 14s (3d (seller). A sale was effected early in the week at the latter price. E.S, and A. Banks have been quoted, the latest quotations being £7 14s and £7 17s Gd. , , New Zealand Breweries shares have weakened, and sellers are asking 9d last week’s closing offer from buyers. There was no inquiry early in the week, but yesterday a buyer quoted at 55s 9d. The offer for Debentures is 25s 9d, sellers asking 2Cs. Mannings are experiencing a, better demand, but there was no response to the buying quotation of 42s yesterday. There are no immediate sellers of insurance stocks. South British are stronger, buyers offering 565. Huddart, Parkers can bo had 'at 46s 3d, but buyers will not give more than 45s 9d. Union Steams are on offer at 20s 3d without inquiry. . , . Westport Coals have had further turnover at 345, the present offering being 33s lOd. The demand for N.Z. Refrigerating prds has dropped back to 17s 6d, sellers asking 18s 6d. The contributing issue has also decreased in value. Kaiapoi Woollen ords are still wanted at 10s, sellers asking 10s 3d. Sellers of Taper Mills are holding off at 21s 6d, and an offer of 20s lOd is made. Otago Daily limes are wanted at 81s without reply. There have been transactions in liawaraus at 6s, and the closing quotations were 5s lid and 6s Id. St. Balkans have fallen off in value, and sales of the A issue were effected yesterday morning at 2s and Is lOd premium.
