PROPAGANDA AT OXFORD. THE CHANCELLOR UPHELD. {Press Aerostation —By Telegraph—-Copyright.) LONDON, February 16. (Received Feb. 17, at 5.5 p.m.) At the Oxford Union poll the motion was defeated by 403 votes to 367, thus supporting the Chancellor’s action. This wi.l probably end the matter.—A. and N.Z. Cable. In connection with the Communist propaganda at Oxford a meeting of the Oxford Union carried by 215 votes to 92 a motion of protest moved by the president of the University Lalour Club against the extraction of a promise from two under-gradu-ates. A petition signed by the requisite 200 under-graduates was instantly submitted demanding a poll on the motion.
