Newspapers give prominence to Lord Londonderry’s suggestion that the Mining Association should be dissolved, and that employers and men should again discuss wages on a district ba^is. Sir Alfred Mond, as chairman of a large colliery enterprise, welcomes Lord Londonderry’s attitude and says greater elasticity in negotiations and arrangements in the mining industry is require than is afforded under the national agreement. — A. and N.Z.
