Bakers and Pastrycooks’ Union and their friends held a successful picnic at Bvansdale on Saturday, there being about SOO persons present, notwithstanding the boisterous weather which prevailed throughout (Friday night and the early hours of Saturday morning. The committee in charge of the arrangements deserved credit'. for the efficient manner in which it carried out its arduous duties.
