CAMPAIGN OF PURIFICATION. REFORMERS CHALLENGED. (Pres* Association —By Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, January 18. A section of the members of the House of Commons is organising a purifying of the press campaign for the coming session, including a ban on Divorce Court reports. The secretary of the National Union of Journalists (Mr H. Richardson) challenges the reformers to find corruptive or indecent passages in any English newspaper, and adds that the courts are reported with such delicacy nowadays that only the sophisticated can appreciate the significance of the statements. —Sydney Sun Cable.
