VISIT TO DUNEDIN, The Mayor (Mr H. L. Tapley. M.P.) ha* been advised that his Excellency the Governor-General (Sir Charles Fergusson) will arrive to-dsy by the 4.18 p.m. express, and will stay at the i'ernhill Club. Tomorrow his Excellency will visit the Exhibition in the morning, and in the afternoon will attend the demonstration by the Boy Scouts in the snorts -rou-'t In the evening he will attend a Masonic fxinc-. tion. On Thursday his Exccaoncy >. ill again visit the Exhibition in the morning and the Boy Scouts at their camp in (he afternoon. His Excellency’s only engagement for Friday is the laying of the foundation stone at the Hose Home at 10 a.m., after which he will leave for Ancki land by the 11.30 train. TOUR IN THE NORTH. (Pan United Press Association.) An Auckland Press Association telegram reports that their Excellencies the Gover-nor-General Sir Charles Fergusson and Lady Fergusson have arranged to visit Rotorua next month, arriving there on ■Wednesday, February 3, and staying till the following Tuesday, when they will Ik’•(! for the East Coast by way of Tauranga, Whakatane, and Opotiki, art"-' - on Saturday, February 13, at Matahua Station. Tokomaru Bay. They will attend the Maori gathering at Tikitiki, during the course of which a carved memorial church ■will be consecrated and a monument to the Maori soldiers of the Ngati-porou tribe will be unveiled by his Excellency. On Wednesday, February IT, their Excellencies will go to Gisborne, anti will remain there till February 10, when they will leave on their return journey, arriving at Hamilton on February T 3. At the end of the month their Excellencies will return to Government House. Auckland.
