METHODIST CENTRAL MISSION
The quarterly meeting of the officials of the Methodist Central Mission was held on Wednesday evening in Slade Hall, when the Rev H. E. Bcllhouse presided over a good attendance. Apologies were made for the absence of the Rev. W. Walker, and Sister Hazel, who are at present on holiday. The balance sheet presented by the stewards, gave evidence of a very successful quarter. The circuit account showed u largo credit balance, this enabling the meeting to vote £2O to trustees, £45 to reset to account, and to give the superintendent and deaconess a contribution towards their holiday expenses, as an appreciation of their faithful attention to duties during the year. Gratitude was expressed at the continued generosity of the congregation towards the circuit funds, and the sustentation fund. Messrs D. Cameron, W. Aitken, and tho conference representative, Mr D. Cameron, were ro-electcd circuit stewards, with. Mr W. Paris substitute'. Votes of sympathy were passed to the Rev. W. A. Rugby Pratt, in the loss of his son Leonard, and to Mr A. M. Martin and family in the death of Mrs Martin, who was a very highly respected ex-mem-bec of tho mission. Thanks were accorded to the Rev. E. R. Weeks, for his visit to Dunedin, and appreciation was expressed of his pulpit ministrations. The chairman complimented the Mission on the success attending its Work, and wished it every success and blessing in the future. A vot© of thanks was accorded to the chairman (Rev. H. E. Bellhouse) for presiding, and for his kindly interest in the Mission.
