FLOUR AND WHEAT.
PERMISSION FOR IMPORTATION. REGULATIONS ANNOUNCED. (From Oub Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, January 14. It is announced that the Minister of Customs has decided to grant general permission for the importation of wheat, flour, wheatmeal and ground wheat, if imported on or after January 18, subject to the follcAving conditions : (1) That such wheat, flour, wheatmeal or ground wheat can be shown to the satisfaction of a Collector of Customs to have been ordered from abroad, not later than January 7, 1926, (2) That such wheat, flour, wheatmeal, or ground wheat be imported into New Zealand not later than January 31, 1926. (3) That, except in the case of fowl wheat admitted under permit free of ordinary Customs duty, all such goods shall pay the ordinary duties. (4) That all such goods shall comply with the regulations under the Sale of Food and Drugs Act, 1908.
