SOVIET MILITARY STRENGTH
CENSUS BEING TAKEN,
STUDY OE. REVOLUTION,

The Riga correspondent of The Times states that a census, of the Soviet war strength is being taken. Ihe Commissar has ordered the 'examination and re-regis-tration of the Red army reserve officers. The newspaper Izvestia explains that the order is important, its object being to ascertain the potential military power of the Soviet republics in the caso of war. It embraces not only military men, but administrative, political, medical, and vetinarv officials liable to army service. The correspondent also reports that the Sun Yat-sen University in Moscow, for the education of Chinese, has 260 students, including 40 women. All the Chinese were sent to Moscow by the Chinese revolutionary organisation. The students’ chief studv is the theory and practice of revolution.—The Times.
